The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has postponed its Nakuru Town West Constituency nominations that had initially been scheduled for Thursday April 14, 2022.
The Deputy President William Ruto-led party made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement released by National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Anthony Mwaura.
Mwaura stated that the decision was motivated by developments in the party which called for consensus.
He similarly reaffirmed to the party aspirants that the exercise would continue uninterrupted in other parts of the country.
“NEB wishes to assure aspirants and party faithful that nominations are on course to be conducted on Thursday, 14th April 2021,” read the statement.
“NEB therefore also announces that due to unforeseen exigencies it has postponed nominations for Nakuru Town West Parliamentary seat.”
The new date for the Nakuru Town West nominations, according to the NEB boss, is slated for April 19, 2022 alongside those of Nandi Hills Constituency in Nakuru County.
